He started working at Wayland Seminary, in 1878, and joined the lag of Hampton. In 1881, Booker T. was selected to list a school for blacks at Tuskegee; called Tuskegee Normal. The school was extremely poor and had very little currency in the school depot to help the school. Tuskegee Normal and industrial Institute became a extensive to his lifes work.
